Join the Deck of me challange

This is a challenge that started many years ago. I stopped looking at year 2007
It was called a mini Art Journal among other thing.
But for now Melinda posted a group called The Deck of me challenge
When every Monday a prompt will be given and you create
a playing card with that meaning for your self.
You can decorate 1 side or both, use a regular deck of card or jumbo.
I am creating mine digital then gluing them to the card.
So fee free to jump in on the fun .

We seem to have lost interest in the wtj.
So I came up with an ideal to get our creative interests back.
Here are a couple of background pages I created.

I thought we could create and share things like this and post how we used each others pages for a card, scrapbook or journal page.

I was looking at you tube videos yesterday and one of my favorites had a post on a free program called Art rage, I down loaded it and had such fun. it is easy to use.
I made like 4 paintings. in 1 day. They do look like oil paint.
I would imagine if they were printed on a textured paper they would be great for framing once I learn more on painting. I am thinking of buying the program to unlock the other features. I will just use the free version for now. till I see if the fun wears off. This is not a paid advertisement. Only a referral for your benefit. .

Greetings. This is the WrightStuff assisting Grammy with a bit of hosting.

You will have to excuse this post. I've been suffering an ear infection all week which makes my head spin so my words might be a bit roller-coaster-ish. OK, how about this as a challenge? Last week I created an artwork on the theme of hands (as illustrated here). It was very much in the spirit of journal wrecking and indeed, once I lifted my hand from the page, the creation was no longer there! Fortunately captured forever on camera (one-handed), it was a fun piece. I later went back and 'filled in the gaps' creating a new piece of art.

So, my challenge to you this week is to create something momentary. There one minute, gone the next. Can you let go enough?

I must also share with you an amusing piece of wrecking I experimented with. I scanned the list I'd made of more ways to wreck the journal and alighted on - 'smear a page with jam and leave it outside for the wasps'. Well, seeing as every time I set foot outside with food or drink, a swarm descends, I thought this was a sure fire winner.

Well, let me tell you. I sit here in full sight of the jammy page outside with ne'er a wasp in sight. There's a cat sniffing about but even he's giving the sticky mess a wide berth. So, it seems the way to rid yourselves of wasps around your outdoor dining area is to simply place a jammy journal close to where you are about to eat. Not very well cultured these wasps...

Had a lucky wasp escape the other day. I'd noticed one flying around the kitchen but then it disappeared so I didn't worry about it. I picked up my fruity smoothie and glugged it back. Something lumpy and crunchy floated into my mouth. Yup, it was the wasp. I tell you I it shot out of my mouth faster than a bullet. Fortunately it was too busy drowning to sting me.

This adventure starts today Aug 21, 2009, It is week end fun. Please add your link once a week , And please visit the others. The best part is we are a community of fun kind loving people.

In this adventure we are sharing creative artistic fun.
You can share anything you are creating or wrecking.

We started this with the book Wreck This Journal . You can buy a new one or continue to finish your old one
Or create your own art journal I will share many ways of creating them in future posts.
You can use old books, telephone books. Sketch pads. Any thing your heart desires.
There are no rules here other than to have fun and enjoy creativity.

Don't be afraid to share.
There are many people on many levels of development here.
The important thing is to let your inner child come out and play, have fun.
Splatter paint draw stick figures. Any thing that you create is unique and beautiful. It is so fun to let go of restrictions and just simply create any thing.

You will find inner joy from this experience.

My heart just sings !

What a joy to see you all.
And a gift to allow me the honor to host this reunion.

I was so thrilled to see you all come here with the same love that I have.
To continues our community of fun wreckage.

I was inspired to draw and paint sweet hope that night.
She is my inner child. And this is my best page I have ever painted.

After Wreck this journal ended. I so morned the closure.
And started a Hope journal of healing my self of loss of a number of issues.

Wreck this journal has been so rewarding in so many aspects.

The adventure of this journey of all of us sharing our spirit of love and fun with each other is healing for us all.

Jamie is a healer too. And I can in no way step into her shoes.
I have to wear my own.
I so hope I can bring as much joy to all of you .
The same way you give me joy.
